Deborah Louise was born in Canterbury, Kent in England and grew up in a working fishing town on the North Kent coastline. Debbie is the oldest of three and has a sister, Helen and a brother Jay. Debbie is married to her high school sweetheart, Roger and they have three amazing daughters together, Danielle (Dani), Yasmin (Yazz) and Philomena (Mena).
Starting her career in office administration she later left work to raise her young family when Yasmin was a year old. Then with the premature birth of Mena, who was born with cerebral palsy she became a full time stay at home mum and care giver to Mena.
Moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in the summer of 2007 Debbie continued her commitment to her family and ensuring a strong foundation for them all.
Her passion for writing has always been present but demands on her time never allowed her to focus on it as much as she would have liked to. Debbie has always enjoyed being active and creative since a young age. A keen fitness enthusiast, martial artist and London marathon finisher. Debbie taught herself to sew subsequently making things for the home and friends homes like drapes, blinds or even dressing up outfits. Decorating and DIY projects have become a friend and family joke of “what is she working on now?” painting, tiling, drawing and another favorite, her love for providing home cooked meals everyday.
After a family holiday in 2006 to Lapland an idea ignited in her mind that she kept coming back to over the next few years. Sparking her imagination.
In 2017 Debbie found more free time as her family became older and more self sufficient. She turned to her Apple Mac to start putting ‘pen to paper’ on her thoughts and ideas for the creation of her first novel, soon to become available.
She hopes you enjoy these few short stories and asks that you subscribe to her newsletter for exciting things to come.
